CASE LOGS

You will keep a case log starting with your first case assignment. Your case log will include a variety of information and should be a reflection of your problem solving processes. We aren't testing your problem solving processes, but it will be informative to help you to understand your approaches and to improve them where appropriate.

Here are some of the kinds of things you may keep in your case log:

  • Notes you take in class on what team members report
  • Notes you take from your text or in the library to track down information about the case
  • Sudden (or deliberate) insights you have about other routes to follow, other information to look up, why you might be on the wrong/right track, etc.
  • Notes you take on the infrequent lecture sessions we give
  • Brainstorming lists you do to think of other ways of thinking about the case
  • Anything else that represents your thinking on the case
