People
who live in
glass houses
shouldn't throw stones.
The age-old adage is itself
transparent. The interpretation of
the phrase can hold a unique meaning and
importance for every individual. However, to the
authors, people ARE the glass houses. The individual is
a simple structure comprising of a physically strong, internal
frame or skeleton and a much more fragile, transparent, and some-
times mirror-like external face or outward appearance. The symbolic
representation of this idea (or maybe the symbol of this idea), the glass sky-
scraper, is our theme. The image of oneself and one’s character can be seen in others
and the feeling of community can be
found in each individual. In this same
manner, the
reflection of a city is cast upon a glass skyscraper. It must be realized that
the world is really
the glass house of our entire global community and in order to coexist in such a fragile environment,
we must treat each other with as much respect
as we, ourselves,
would expect in return.
